Dialogue I remember from the 1981 revival---I recall it because it was the last show to play at the old Helen Hayes Theatre on West 46th Street'

SOUTHERN BULLY: "What do you take me for, an imbecile?"

HERO: "Why, of course not! (points to audience)---But what's my opinion against so many hundreds of others?"

SOUTHERN BULLY: "Why, I killed ten men before I was old enough to vote!"
